Traveller Group in Selly Oak Park

Please be aware that their is currently a group of travellers in Selly Oak Park. Local councillors and the police have been made aware. Please report any illegal or threatenig behaviour to the police on 101 or if (as is unlikely) life is in danger call 999.

Why are we dragging our feet on this issue, they have started blocking the paths with their caravans, it is not just a park but a walkway for people to get to their jobs and walk their pets, everyday more dangerous waste is left, I just hope someone is held accountable in the council when the worst happens and someone's pet or little one is seriously hurt!

  2. Also there is a poke stop in the middle of their camp that I really would like to get for 50xp and Pokemon Go supplies lol

  3. I live next to this wonderful park and wish to wander round it in peace without the stench of rotting food dogs barking and horse manure,i pay my taxes which pay for our poultry recreation so i would like this issue sorted asap.

  4. It is a disgrace.They have already been allowed to stay for a week too long. The amount of rubbish piling up is appalling. Local residents should not have to live in fear of being broken in to and be unable to use the park. Local councillor and police seem to be doing very little but we can't take matters into our own hands without getting into trouble ourselves. Bloody disgraceful.

  6. The police and ouncil are following procedure and have served an eviction notice which comes into effect on Tue 19th at which point the travellers can leagally be moved on. As soon as they are gone the coucil will begin the clean-up process. FoSOP members will kept informed throughout and will post updates here.
